| Question: I have pics to upload. How do I do it? |
| Answer: Easy. Simply register for a free jerkoffbuds.com picture board username, log in, and then select the "upload photos." |
| Question: My pics won't upload. |
| Answer: There are several reasons why your pics might not upload, but the most common is that the picture goes over the 75k file limit. Simply resize and you shouldn't have any more problems uploading. Actually, if all users could try to keep photos below 40k, that would be great and help save system resources. Sometimes I myself re-size photos that users have posted that I feel are too big. |
| Question: Is this a commercial website? Is this your guys' main job? |
| Answer: As nice as it would be able to put all our energy into the website, Jerkoffbuds.com is just a hobby of ours - a "public service" to guys all around the world, lol. We wanted to just have a fun place where users and guys from around the world could chat, post pics, and share ideas and experiences. We still need to have our day jobs and stuff, and would be in the poor house if Jerkoffbuds was all we had going on! But, now you know why sometimes it might take us a couple days to respond to e-mails. Our apologies in advance, as there really is only two of us and not a whole staff of cute guys running the show (though that WOULD be nice, wouldn't it?!) |
| Question: Will the site always be free? |
| Answer: It is our intention to keep the site a fun, free place on the web as long as the site is self-sustaining. |
| Question: How old are you guys? |
| Answer: As of writing this, Brendan is 23 and Matt is 25... though it's Matt's birthday really soon! |
| Question: My pics were moved, deleted, or resized, what gives? |
| Answer: Sometimes a user will post a pic that is obviously protected by copyright, or has been requested by the real owner to be taken down. Other times, pictures are moved to categories where we feel they would be more appropriate. File resizing happens when a single image is just "too big" and needs to be cropped or scaled down a bit in order to save expensive bandwidth resources. Again, our apologies. It is not our intention to control content... just act as "moderators" so that everything runs smoothly! |
| Question: What kind of pics should go into the new "male affection" category? Is it any pic with kissing? |
| Answer: The male affection category is basically for pics of guys together where there is no overt sexual acts happening. In other words, if they are kissing but jerking each other off, then that pic is more appropriate in the "jerk buds" category. Oh yeah, and all black and white vintage pics should still go into the vintage category. (Don't worry... when it comes to what is appropriate in the male affection category, you'll "know it when you see it," lol!) |
| Question: Do you guys ever webcam? |
| Answer: Yeap... but that's all we're gonna say!! ;-) |
| Question: Do you guys ever go into the jerkin' chat? |
| Answer: Yeap. It's pretty obvious it's us by the names we use... but be sure not to be fooled by impostors!!! |
| Question: Can I see pics of you guys naked? |
| Answer: Of course! They are in the bonus galleries in the category "Brendan and Matt." Be nice with the comments though, lol! |
| Question: I try to click on the link to "Member's Albums" but it says I do not have permission. How do I get permission? |
| Answer: You can't. Nothing personal though, nobody can! When we switched to a new bulletin board version, that option was disabled for everyone because it was causing some people to upload only into their personal album but not into the general board as a whole. |
| Question: There used to be a slide-show option that I loved, but it's gone now. What happened? |
| Answer: Alas, that feature too had to be disabled because it ate up a lot of system resources! Sorry!!! |
| Question: I want my account deleted from Jerkoffbuds.com. How do I do it? |
| Answer: What?! Why would you ever want to go?! Well, if you must, simply send us an E-mail and tell us your username. We'll delete it, but will be sad to see you go. |
| Question: Someone has posted a picture of me or a picture I own the rights to on the picture board without my permission. How do I get it removed? |
| Answer: It is our intention to respect copyrights of others. Again, use this link to send us an E-mail with a location link to the picture or pictures in question, and it will go away ASAP. |
| Question: I have some other general technical question about my account or pic posting, etc... |
| Answer: That's a job for Brendan: E-mail him! |
